Each online course offered by Rockfon has been approved by the American Institute of Architects for its Continuing Education System (AIA CES) for 1.0 Learning Units toward one hour of health, safety and welfare continuing education (1.0 AIA LU/HSW).
The number of total hours, LUs, and renewal period may vary by state. In Illinois, for example, licensed architects are required to have a total of 24 hours including 16.0 AIA LU/HSW of continuing education credits every two years. For those pursuing a new license, some AIA-approved courses count toward the experience requirement for licensure. The AIA transcript service makes it easy for members to track their progress.
The Architectural Record continuing education courses and Continuing Education Center courses also are recognized by the International Association for Continuing Education And Training as a Continued Education Unit (CEU) 0.1 (IACET CEU).
Other industry associations, such as the Construction Specifications Canada (CSA), Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC), also may consider reciprocal credit for Architectural Record CEUs.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and its third-party LEED® credentialing organization, Green Business Certification Inc., has approved 1.0 continuing education (1.0 GBCI CE) credit for our “The Value of Stone Wool Acoustical Ceilings” course.
